The Utah FACES Microchip Program is designed to help pet parents maintain the safety of their pets allowing pets to be returned to the owner just as quick as possible should they become lost or even stolen. Microchips keep pets out of the shelters. Microchips are free or low cost at Salt Lake County Animal Services and no appointment is necessary.
The Microchip Program is available only for residents within the jurisdiction of Salt Lake County Animal Services and proof of residency is required. The jurisdiction includes the following areas: Salt Lake County Metro Townships, Bluffdale City, Herriman City, Holladay City, Midvale City, Millcreek, Riverton City, and Salt Lake City. This program is for owned pets, and is not to be used for animals with rescue groups or breeders.
Utah FACES is proud to have provided over 4,000 microchips this past year.
